Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

thanks

They are just disappointed... as you stated we were giving a window. No where was there a guarantee that you would recieve them on launch day. They evidently knew before preorders that there were going to be a shortage with some models. Let's not forget that this is a new item with a differing process to make them... They are still fine tuning it. No one has been lied to. It is happening percisely the way it should. They make the watches that they can with the pieces they have available. Are we expecting them to just stop work altogether because they can't make the next model in sku? No, they should skip down to the next one they can make and when the pieces from the other ones come in, go back and make them...

Our development is her last stop on her route do she always delivers to ius in the evening thus giving us a chance to always see her and develop a relationship. When she delivered my extra charger and something else last night that I ordered we chatted and she offered to call me when she arrived at another location near our home in the am to give me the watch. Of course I'll be giving her a thank you offering.

just went on chat to see if my 42mm SS with Blue Leather Loop that was ordered with a confirmation email at 3:05est on the 10th had potential of being shipped early. they had no idea. ordered a 38mm sport with white band for my wife about five minutes later, and that one's out for delivery today.

This was chat's response:

We're working hard to get as many units shipped as quickly as possibly. We're shipping in the sequence the order was taken for the specific configuration. Customers ordering the configuration you've ordered in the country you live will not be shipped before you.

Soooo.... not super helpful. Question for everyone on here - has ANYONE with a 42mm SS with leather loop seen any movement?

First, you are doing a "meaning of is" argument. By that I mean that while it's literally true that Apple didn't lie to us (I mean how could they, it's not like they actually have communicated much to us), it's also true that they failed to deliver to the expectations that have set on previous pre-orders. In the past, it's been orders filled in the order in which they were received. We only found out that it was different this time well after the fact.

Second, over time, the ordering hype for products, i.e. standing in line at an Apple Store, or getting up at midnight Pacific time (3 am EST for me) has generated a lot of energy for the iPhone and iPads. If Apple's new policy is "we will hand orders in whichever method is most convenient for us", then there really isn't much point to getting up in the middle of the night to order, or standing in line. If I can stay in bed, get up at my normal time and have just as much chance of getting my order on launch day as the guy who is the first person to put in an order, then guess what. I'm staying in bed. If standing in line, or getting up in the middle of the night to order doesn't mean that I'm going to be one of the first to get the latest gadget, then why do it?

Katazaphel what type did you order? You can only really compare shipping times for exact model so same case and same band. Yes it stinks to have to wait because you either ordered a super popular model and even though you were in at say 12:03 another 100,000 people were also in around the same time or because Apple is supposedly processing by sku. I don't think that's the case as many of us with different combinations got shipping info around the same time. Technically Apple knew this may happen and so we were all given shipping windows not promised dates. Unless you don't get it by May 8th then they have kept up their end of the sales contract.
