Apple Watch Shipping Notices

Just curious if anyone has received a shipping notice yet for their Apple Watch If they were lucky enough to get an early delivery date (24th). I know if is probably a bit early but worth asking.

thanks

Same here 42mm SS BSB

I ordered at 0205 CST 4/10 still processing.... Did a chat session on 4/23 to make sure the card info was alright and was told everything was swell and it would be delivered in the given date range. 😐 Wonder what crashed or did they somehow mess up the shipping order i.e last in first out.

There seems to be a lot of variations on mac rumors forums

I'm thinking there was a logistical error and our watches were allocated else where: fashion stores, those functional hands on demos, another country, etc.

My theory is there were production issues down on the packaging level. Have we seen 42 mm sports with black sport band go out? If so I bet all the black sport bands that were made got sent to the packaging facility for the sport model. The mistake wasn't discovered quickly enough and maybe the SS models are packed in a different facility than the sport models. That would explain why only the SS models are affected.

Another theory which is also likely is that specific shipment is stuck in customs going out of China and so they are just sitting there until they get released. It actually happened to a pair of my custom converse for my wedding party. 5 of the 6 pairs made it to the US perfectly fine. 1 got stuck in customs because some putz forgot to pull the tag off after it was approved so it just sat there for a little bit until it got approved a second time.

Probably. I know nothing will probably come of this list but at least we have a definitive total and know we aren't the only ones in this situation. Apple should hook us up with commemorative navy or grey sports bands lol, for being die hard fans, waking up early to get a reservation only to not have a watch on launch day.

Hopefully when one of our orders prepares for shipment, all of ours will.

The problem we are facing is that Apple prioritized everyone other than its customers. Re-sellers in CA and London received over 700 watches combined, which would have easily sold out to direct order customers, making the net result to Apple the same. This is typical big business. The customer is last resort. Apple has enough statistics to know which bands would have been the best sellers and should have been prepared. I agree with the post above, they should have packaged the bands separate and at least we would have a watch. They should have also, sent early pre-order customers and email, allowing them the opportunity to switch their band selections allowing the watch to be delivered on 4/24. I consider this a small case of bait and switch. All of their marketing and conference meetings noted that early pre-orders would ship on 4/24, then at the last minute they posted all of the dates with a range of 4/24 - 5/8. Thats just poor marketing and communication with your customers. This would have never happened is Mr. Jobs was still with us.
