My podcast app mysteriously disappeared from my ipod touch 5th gen ios 8.1.3 16GB model ME643C/A. i did not delete it, i cannot download it from the app store (it just says open podcasts but then does nothing) and cannot find it using my search function. Also it does not appear to be tied to my music icon as some people have suggested. please help, i'm in withdrawal from my shows:)

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

What happens when yu restore to factory settings/new iPod and redownload the Podcast app directly to the iPod?
