Can't log into iTunes account (error 0x80090326)

Please Help!

I logged off iTunes on my PC and now can't sign back into my account. I receive the following error "We could not complete your iTunes request. An unknown error occured (error 0x80090326). Because of this, I cannot backup, update or sync anything. For what it's worth my log in on iPhone works fine. I spoke to level 2 at Apple Care for hours and nothing works. I'm at a loss. Any solution would be appreciated

Windows XP

I have tried the following:

installing and reinstalling iTunes

flushing DNS

winsock review and repair

repair of QuickTime and iTunes

ensured iTunes was selected as exception for Windows Firewall

Windows XP patch from 2009 (suggested in previous post)

Also uninstalled anti-virus, turned off firewall. Nothing works

iPod touch, iOS 8.3, null

Hi "good evening",

Sorry for my english, i'm from switzerland i speak french :-)

I have the same problem with iTune and XP... My Old Device Touch G1 ios 3.1.3 crashed (an other storry)

and for this occasion I run in DFU mode the restoration with my custom ipsw from iTune interface and when time's came to reboot the device and wait the device appear connected, paf! this famous error message cited in the topic appears.

I have acces to the iTunes store via the interface iTune, I can loggin in.... (normal? reading the topic i didn't understood)

BUT the diagnostic is

Negative securised link faild...

I Pod is tetected,

Synchronisation test positive...

Not cool... one day you can do what you want with iTune,

"one day after" with the great hasard lows your very old device crashes...

Oh ! its the occasion to restore said I to myself, stupid maybe, DFU -> Restauration OK->finalisation restauration reboot iPod in iTune = The famous error message code about iTune Store. (stupid...directly a radical and for now fatal decision)

First I thought "it's my fault, I've made something very wrong with...I don't know".... (stupid... always seach about error code befor doing bad things...)

Oh it's the occasion to reinstall entierly Windaube XP Pro and all my programs... (time to waist...better than crying, a karsher execution)

This done like a new pc, and with many difficulties and spended lot of time, I retry to restaure my device... SAME ERROR. (any iTune version. I've tested)

To myself..."It wasn't my fault"... check finaly (a bit late) the Internet for this famous error message and found this topic so, by "waiting"... we can sing...

As could said/sing or scream Didier Super :

You crashed your old device Apple !

And you were no aware of a really important

and recent problem with the iTune Store Application

Eh ben t'est con !(in french) (well you're dumb!)

I really hope this "problem" will find a solution.

Bye from Swiss.

How about the fact that XP is not even supported by Microsoft anymore? Technology moves forward. It does not remain the same. Even Windows 8 will be outdated one day. You can't expect to stay on the same machine and programs forever and have them still work. This is not on Apple, it's ALL TECHNOLOGY.

The newer versions of iTunes are not compatible with Windows prior to Win7. This is likely the cause for your error.

Hate to break this news to you, but for every copy of iTunes running on Windows XP, there is a spec that states base compatibility. That's it. Don't need anything else to see that it's supposed to work, and usually does. Just because there's a newer version that does not support XP doesn't mean that I'm required to run it. Two months after Apple released a Windows 7-only version of iTunes, I had in my possession a printed web page with a spec that stated Windows XP was the minimum requirement to run on Windows (while Verizon Wireless was blocking me from activating my iPhone from within iTunes).
