Music app skips multiple songs on iOS8 iPhone 6

The music app skips selected songs and won't play at all until I delete the song from iTunes, put it back and sync it back onto my iPhone 6. None of the songs are on 'skip when shuffling'.

Also, a lot of the album artwork doesn't appear on the phone. This isn't much of an issue but the huge diagonal writing isn't attractive.

I thought it was because of the memory but after I removed half of the things on my phone the problem still occurred. Is this a bug or is there something wrong with my devices? It's probably a bug but I want to make sure.
