Any way of stopping Aperture offering to delete imported items in camera/SD card?

I find this very irritating and worrying as I never delete the contents of my memory cards, keeping them as permanent backups.

I am concerned that some day I might accidentally allow Aperture to trash them.

If you accidentally click on the delete camera images Aperture import window, you still have another confirm tab to click as a safety against losing the images on your card(s).

Thanks Ken, I was aware of that, but having to remember to lock the card before importing would be even more of a nuisance.

In any case I frequently just plug the camera into the computer, which would make card-locking impossible.

My current workflow is that I shoot a handful of photos and then import them on a daily or even hourly basis.

So you can get some idea of how irritating it is to have this unnecessary pop-up.

I will send feedback requesting a turn-off switch in the preferences . . . though it will probably never happen.
