can i play videos on second display without visible controls?

I have a second display, and would like to play a list of videos in full screen without any controls or menu bars showing up during or between videos. Is this possible?

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

An interesting question. Unfortunately, I don't have a second monitor to run tests. However, as no one has tried to answer your question since posting yesterday, I suggest you run the test yourself. Ultimately, I suspect the answer will depend on how the two monitors are handled by the operating system software you are using—i.e., either as two independent screens or as two segments of a single large screen.

1) QT players do not support the creation or use of "playlists." Therefore, you will either have to use iTunes or a third-party media player like VLC depending on your specific management and/or playback requirements. If your files are already managed by iTunes, then simply create an iTunes playlist containing the files you want played in the order you want them played. If your files are not managed, are managed by a third-party app, or if the files are not compatible with iTunes playback, then open an app like VLC, drag the files to the playlist window, order them, and optionally save the playlist for future use as may be required.

2) Since you indicate you don't want any display of either the menu bar or control bar, playback will have to be in the "Full Screen" playback mode. Drag the player window to your secondary display screen, initiate playback, enter the "Full Screen" playback mode, and return your cursor to the main screen/allow controls to disappear.

3) At this point you will have to determine if the "Full Screen" playback mode affects both monitor displays—i.e., is the video displayed across both monitors in the "Full Screen" mode, does using an input device (e.g., a mouse) in the main screen create events that trigger the display of controls in the secondary screen, do controls display momentarily between videos in the playlist, do videos of different aspect ratios display sequentially at the correct aspect, etc?

As previously indicated, I cannot make these tests myself but assumed such tests would be easy for you to perform and report back for others interested in similar multi-monitor workflows.
