Macbook air's batter drains fast and always hot

Hi,

I'm currently using a 2014 Macbook Air running Yosemite version 10.10.3

It seems to always get hot and it's battery life last only around 2 hours now. I have checked the activity monitor and it seems to always have a low idle CPU % due to a process called efilogin-helper taking up a huge amount of CPU.

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated thanks!

That sounds like a good idea. Just make sure to back it up before you go because they will likely want to wipe it and reinstall. And when you restore when you get home, you should probably only restore your user documents. Manually reinstall applications one by one and test in between each. That way, if the problem returns, you will know exactly what caused it and you can then uninstall it.
