NPlayer: Is it safe?

Hi all, I was about to buy and install NPlayer, but since I'll be using NPlayer to watch all of my videos, is there any chance for NPlayer to send information back to the app's author? Can NPlayer send back information about me?

I was really worried about this so I haven't bought the app as yet.

Thanks for any help!

No, I don't use NPlayer. I was speaking from general experience using the App Store on my iOS devices over the years. I trust that Apple is doing their due diligence when they test the apps. But there are lots of developers trying to get tons of apps through the process, so every now and then, a stinker is bound to get through.
