FaceTime shuts down iPhone 5 shows battery at 0%

Since updating to 8.3, using FaceTime intermittently causes my iPhone to totally shut down and power off. After a reboot, it shows the battery at 0% and indicates it must be plugged in.

When I plug it in, the battery goes back to whatever percentage it was before the crash.

Anyone else have this problem?

I have been having this problem too.

Today, I pick up the phone and it shows the battery is at 100%.

I made one 5-minute FaceTime call, and the battery is now at 50%.

I plugged the phone in and it is charging, but it did not jump back up to what it was.
