Export contacts from outlook mac 2011 to Gmail/Apple's address book

Hi!

Does anybody know how can I export contacts from outlook for mac, to gmail or Apples Address Book?

I have my contacts attached to the computer, not to any mail account inside outlook. I´d like them to sync with my iphone and iPad.

I tried changing the database identity, I tried exporting as txt then importing them (but it messes up the fields). I tried importing them to thunderbird and export from thunderbird as .csv, but it does´t work either. I tried importing to gmail in anyway possible but it imports the data as a note, not in the proper fields. I know I can export the contacts one by one as Vcards and then import to Apple's address book but there must be a faster way.

Thanks!!

I know 🙂.

The problem is that I have my contacts on Outlook but they are not related to any mail account. I want to synchronize outlook's contacts with my iphone and iPad and I´m trying different things.

And I don't know why Outlook doesn't sync with Apple's address book even I tried changing my outlook identity and doing everything I found on google, so I was wondering if I could have them all synchronized using a Gmail account.

I,ve done it. Now that I have them in Gmail, I have them in Apple's Address book and I can have then on my iPhone and iPad. That's ok.

But, my concern is: ¿How to synchronize them with outlook for mac? When I update a contact on Outlook, I also have to do it anywhere else.I have everything else synchronized, but I have Outlook by its own. Because as far as I know, Outlook doesn´t support online sync. So I´m afraid I´ll have to use Mail instead of Outlook in order to have everything synchronized.

GOOGLE Contacts Import - Importing from OutlookMac 2011

In Outlook Mac select single or multiple contacts and drag to desktop. They will be in .vcf format (a type of vCard). Then go to an Online vCard Converter - such as http://www.unc.edu/vtoc/index.php

This will convert files to CSV format which GOOGLE Contacts can import. (This is done one contact at a time.)

In GOOGLE Contacts go to left column and select More > Import. In the new window select CSV. In next window select GO TO OLD CONTACTS. This open contacts in another GOOGLE Contacts format (?!) that has a "More" box in top bar above contact names. Select More > Import from dropdown box. In the new window select a CSV file to import. Voila! It will appear in GOOGLE Contacts. Remember to modify each contact's Group name.
