Ejected sdhc card doesn't reappear

I have a late 2014 Mini Mac. I put an SDHC card in and access without any problem. I click the eject icon to the right of it and remove it and the icon under devices in Finder for it disappears. However, when I re-insert the SDHC card it doesn't reappear under Devices in Finder. Is there a way to refresh the display so that I can access the SDHC card again?

After re-inserting, see if it shows upon Disk Utility & can be mounted there.

Bingo! I found if I opened the Disk Utility after inserting the card it still didn't show up in finder. But if I put the card in after I opened Disk Utility then it showed up in both Finder and Disk Utility.
