How do I get photos off my iphone and only in the icloud. I paid to store all my photos (all 25,000 of them) in the icloud. Now my phone storage shows a large portion is taken up by photos. How do I clear them from my phone and only keep the 5 of them I want on the phone - the rest would stay in the icloud.
Enable "Optimize Storage". Then only previews will be on your phone.
If you are using iCloud Photo Library on your iPhone, you will have to at least store the light weight previews on the device.

If you disable iCloud Photo Library completely, the photos will be removed from your iPhone, but you will not be able to access them in iCloud using the Photos.app on your iPhone.
