iphone6 on iOS 8.3 exchange email keeps shutting down

Email app keeps closing whenever I type a few letters for the email address. It only does this for an exchange account, not yahoo. It is also fine if I pick from contacts.

Hi mlafrance,

Removing and readding the affected account may help prevent Mail from closing unexpectedly when addressing a message.

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Tap the affected email account.

Tap Delete Account.

Add your account again.

Allen, thanks for the reply, but I had tried that and it didn't work.

The strangeness got worse... I noted that it only did it when I would type the letters C, D, P or S. Any other letter of the alphabet was fine. I called apple support and they ended up suggesting I use itunes to completely reset the unit and start from scratch, which I did, and it resolved the issue.
