milanese loop claps scratches

so far the watch has been watch I expected. I hope more apps will support it.

My disappointment has been after one evening use - the claps on the milanese loop has one large and several small scratches.

Not sure exactly what scratches it - but it was just normal light use.

anyone else notice the milanese loop claps does not hold up well ?

Keep in mind that anything made of metal will scratch. You can't expect it to be resistant to all scratches. No consumer watch has ever been scratch-proof. Remember that the first few scratches are the worst as they're so visible, but over time they will wear smoother and more will come to make it appear more uniform; and your constant use will polish them out somewhat. Every watch does this. Remember the metal backed iPods? They were all beautifully polished out of the box and by the time they were a year old they were scratched enough to look intentional even with the best care.

Not to totally bring back a necro, but I found that a quick bath with some diluted white vinegar spray and a wipe with a microfiber took care of most of my clasp scratches. I'd look to the jewelers' solutions for any body or band damage on the stainless apple watches. They're built as high end watches and come with all the associated upkeep as such.

Not easy thing to take picture of with the contrast / focus - this shows one clearly , if the light is different you see more.

With the eye the largest scratch is about 3/4 across . You see many small ones too.

other things look good, is just the claps.

Time will tell - you wonder what it will look like in a week- seems very soft compared to rest of watch.
