How do I tell if I have a virus or just battery issues?

So a few days ago I let my MacBook die, when I tried turning it back on the next morning it would shut off as I logged into my account. So I tried to log into guest user and it let me but it doesn't recognize my network. If I don't log into either accounts it shuts off in about five minutes. When I run diagnostics it gets to about 95% and then it freezes. I think it's a virus but I also think it might be a battery problem. Even when it's plugged in and it still doesn't stay on more than five minutes. Unless I log into guest user but I can't go anywhere in guest user.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10)

It cannot be a virus as none exist for Macs.

Post an etrecheck report for analysis.

You have failed to support what you claim, I assume that you don't actually know what constitutes a virus but all I want is for unsuspecting posters to see how clueless you are. And that is done.

Thanks for your opinion, it's nonsense.

Csound1, I think so you should learn some etiquettes while replying to other users posts. These are not automated replied posts but posts replied by real people.

So, if a person is replying to your posts in a polite manner then even that person will expect a polite reply from you. You can never rule out any persons comment just like that without confirming first.

Thomas, I completely agree with what you say. But I never said that the behaviour described by lakegigi is because of a Virus.

Looks like you saw my comment before I deleted it... the hosts removed the post I was replying to, and yet somehow my post still made it, so I deleted the content of the post due to the lack of context.

I know you didn't say that this problem was caused by a virus, I just think the debate about viruses - on both sides - isn't helpful in this case, and is dragging this topic away from the intended purpose of helping lakegigi.
