Where are you downloading it from?
I Bought the software from Apple so using the down load key provided so via the Internet
You bought Microsoft products from Apple. how did you do that. (The key you refer to is from Microsoft) and so is the product.
So, once more, where are you downloading it from
I assume from here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/HB603/microsoft-office-for-mac-home-and-studen t-2011
Anyway, Office is quite a large download. If your internet speed is not up to par it may take a while to download.

By all means assume, I will wait to find out thanks.
Phil, I concur with you. The OP definitely means downloading it from Apple’s website.
But there are some users who don’t know that a Microsoft product can be purchased from Apple.
As you definitely know what the OP means why don't you just answer for him, he can then go out and enjoy the sunshine.
Assume can make an ***ume out of ***ume and assume. 😕
Ciao.
That is only a 50% filter. 😁
Yes, that's why I leave the assumptions to others.
Hi Bev...!!
If you purchased the Microsoft Office from the Apple site which Phil pointed out, then you might have got a boxed version of Microsoft Office.
If thats the case then you will find the product key in the box itself. Apple only sells the boxed versions of Office.
I don’t think that Microsoft will send you a product key via email after purchasing from Apple. Not possible.
I think so only Microsoft sells the digital copies of Office where you will be sent a product key via email.
Hope this helps....

Nope, the purchase from the link above gives you a Pin and Product Key for download.
What's in the Box?
Phil, but the link which you had provided before is for the boxed version for Microsoft Office. The user will be sent a physical boxed copy of the product containing the product key and the alpha numeric pin.
From the link that Phil Provided:
What's in the Box?
A relatively huge file may take hours to download fully, especially if you're
using a wi-fi connection and not a wired connection to the internet provider.
An Ethernet cable method is faster than wireless...
Give it four or five hours, & have the Mac set so it won't go to sleep. 😐
