I want to use my Apple watch to time my patients' vital signs. The watch face only stays displayed for about 7 seconds, which won't work. Can I change that?

How many seconds do you need? The Stopwatch app stays lit up for about 17 seconds. 😐
(If you can't see the second hand in the stopwatch app, force touch on the screen and change to analogue mode.)
That's pretty much it. If I have a timer counting the numbers down, it's hard to keep track of the pulse, especially on the babies, who tend to run in the 120-160 range.
That did the trick. Thank you! I was beginning to think I couldn't use the watch for the one thing I needed it most.
I discovered if I turned off the "Activate on Wrist Raise" setting, the face stayed up for about 20 seconds, generally enough for me to take a quick pulse.
There is nothing that anyone here can do about this. I suggest you do as the Apple rep suggested. Submit a request directly to Apple.

That's what I plan on doing... But I really hate it when they throw the boiler plate at people... I worked in customer service, and I try not to do that as it infuriates people....
