what unit of measurement does "pt" represent? inches? cm? mm?
i am trying to resize an image in keynote to a fixed dimension but is unsure on what measurements "pt" actually means. how do i resize the image in mm?

No its not, in the context of Keynote point is an Apple created formula related to pixels. Why they have used that instead of pixels is unknown.
