Anyone else not having any problems accessing iTMS?

Am I the only person not having any problems accessing iTMS all weekend? I'm using telus.net as my ISP.

Note: This thread is posted here as satire to counteract the echo chamber of people with network routing issues blaming Apple for their ISP problems.

Open up a cmd window by going to Start->RUN and entering CMD <press enter>

Enter in:
tracert phobos.apple.com

Look at the log generated. Do you see any problems? If you see delays or seeing it stop, then it is not a software problem with iTunes but rather a network problem with your ISP.

If you see a problem, call your ISP and tell them about it as you could be alerting them about faulty equipment.

Edit
If you are not having any problem up to the point of the first Apple server, then you should have no problems.

Having the same problem up in the northeast. ISP is RR.com but does not seem to be related. I also ran a tracer and it looks like Level3 (backbone or server farm) is having the issue. Any thoughts?

I'm using TimeWarner Cable modem and I'm having the same issues as described in other comments. I can't access iTunes or download purchased music. Apple responded to my email, but said that I should contact my ISP. I can access the internet using Safari, no problem. It appears that this is an iTunes problem with so many other people having the same problem. Come on Apple, your quality has always been outstanding. That's why I converted from Windows many years ago. Let's fix this.

Hi,

I have been having problems connecting to the store and when I happen to get connected the preview does not work. This has been happening since late Friday. I use time warner rr also. I called them and they found nothing wrong with my connection. I specifically asked about itunes and apple. They said it should work so I should call Apple.

I ran the same trace you all have been running. I also die at the same spot.

This is most definitely an Apple server (iTunes Store server(s)) issue and not a user-based issue! If one just reads the myriad of posts with all the different locales and ISPs, the problem is on the Apple end. I feel confident Apple is aware of this problem; it's difficult to explain why they haven't posted an Administrative reply or posted a notice about the problem. I am basically a new Mac user and have been tremendously impressed by the quality and committment of Apple and trust them in this matter. Patience is a virtue.

Thanks & God Bless!

I'm having trouble with iTunes as well. I have Road Runner on both my Mac and PC. iTunes is experiencing trouble connecting to the Music Store on both machines. iTunes worked long enough to allow me to purchase a tv show. Unfortunately when iTunes tried to start the download, a network error occured.

I am surfing the net just fine on both machines. No noticeable problems with normal web function. Not behind any proxies. I am assuming Apple is having troubles. Is there a place Apple posts alerts for network problems?

I've been having the same issue all weekend. Broken link pic's within the store. Download issues. iTunes doesn't seem to have a problem with my pressing the BUY button, but the downloads don't start or sneak in if I open and close iTunes several times. Luckily i was able to get the latest BSG episode, that is the only LARGE file that I have tried to get this weeken. I've been trying to get three tracks that I purchased earlier today and one finally got through....
