iTunes wont Connect to iTunes Store

Ok I have been trying to connect to the iTunes store through my iTunes. It tells me to check to make sure I have a network connection and try again. My internet is cable and is always connected. I also tried restarting my computer and still nothing. Is there something else that I need to do? Please let me know. Thanks

I've been having the same connection problem as
others. I upgraded to 7.0.1.8 and i am a time warner
rr customer. I followed the advice of someone else
in this post stream - go to store drop down menu,
authorize computer, and now i'm connecting fine.
