Ok I have been trying to connect to the iTunes store through my iTunes. It tells me to check to make sure I have a network connection and try again. My internet is cable and is always connected. I also tried restarting my computer and still nothing. Is there something else that I need to do? Please let me know. Thanks

I think there might be "an issue". I'm seeing a bunch of folks on the baord reporting the same. I'm getting the same as well. Switched off firewalls etc... ran iTunes network diags and it checks out fine.

I've got the same on my PC and my Mac

I suppose the cool "Mac" dude is goofing of with his home made video lady, instead of watching the Itunes store :o)

i'm having the same issue too...i can't figure out what's wrong, and i'm also having the URL issue too. what's going on with this 7.0 nonsense? everything was perfectly fine before the update. what's going on?

my itunes keeps going in and out. even when i get on, it's incredibly slow, i can't sample most of the music, and it's not downloading properly when i buy songs.

At first I had the same issue. I couldn't get connected to the iTunes store. I had the same "make sure you have a network connection" window pop up. However, now I can connect to the store, but can't sample music. I hope that this frustrating issue gets resolved soon.

Okay everyone...I just got off the phone with Roadrunner aka Time/Warner. It is their problem. According to their tech support the 'migration' of their system has had 'issues'. They have no idea how long it will take to get fixed. I assume they will still be cashing our checks for service though!

They said to contact their Customer Service department to complain, but gave me a phone number that doesn't work. Meanwhile Apple is probably taking the heat for something that isn't their fault.

Thank you for this. I've been going crazy trying to figure out why my desktop (connected via TimeWarner) wasn't working, but my laptop (connected via sprint) was working. I just downloaded the new 7.0 version tonight right before I attemped to order some new songs.
So we are to complain to TimeWarner?

I think the Bush administration and the Republicans came up with this ****** version 7 of ITunes...it is incompetent, disastrous, and irresponsible.

    I can't access my ITunes store and can't sample any songs..Well it's Apple's loss..I can't purchase any of the tunes for a lousy 99cents.

It's a TW problem guys -- just gotta wait it out.

Same thing here. I've been trying to get into the store off and on for most of the day.

What's the best way to contact Apple and let them know? I hope they know by now. Jeesh!

Seems like they would post something that like we are aware of the issue and working to resolve it or something.

It probably isn't Apple's problem, most likely your ISP. See this information posted by another person earlier today. The servers in the routing system are often owned by a third party and leased to various ISP's.....

Traceroute shows no hop from so-14-0.hsa3.sanjose1.level3.net (4.68.114.154) in Colorado. Contacted Road Runner and their phones are off the hook. The guy from Road Runner was very knowledgeable and helpful, and referred me to Level 3, the company who owns the server that is freezing iTunes Store traffic.

Time Warner/Road Runner confirmed it is their problem, but could not give me an estimated fix time today.
