Watch not syncing with iPhone activity app
My watch does not always sync my activity to the activity app on iPhone. I have to reboot my phone to get my activity to sync. Anyone else finding this issue?

Not sure is there has been a solution for this issue people seem to have, I just picked up my watch on saturday and I found that the best way to refresh the activity app on the iPhone is to use Handoff. What I tend to do it open the app on my watch, properly or through glances doesn't matter, this should trigger the phone to prompt handoff to the Activity app. This will force the update within the app on the phone. If it doesn't work, kill the app on the phone, lock your phone and try it again and it should work. Hopefully that helped! Works for me!
I just got off the phone with Apple Care and my Activity App is now syncing with my Watch. The fix was to do an unencrypted backup of my iPhone 6s to my computer using iTunes. Once this was done I unpaired the Watch from the iPhone and did a restore to the iPhone using the same backup I just did. Once the phone is restored I paired the Watch with the iPhone and selected Restore from Backup instead of Set Up as a New Watch. Once this was done I went to the Activity App on the Watch and set it up with the information it asked for. As soon as this was done the Watch Activity App started to sent information the the iPhone immediately. I did lose all historical information stored on the iPhone Activity App but at least it is now working again.
I chatted with apple support and the dude told me to unpair and repair my watch so i did and i restored it with my last back up but that didn't work and the it still wasn't syncing but when i checked the activity app on my watch all my saved data was gone. I had just completed my first day with my watch and went around the rings 3+ times and got a new achievement. All my hard work gone thanks to my man Des in tech support.
I had the same problem, and contacted Apple Support as well. Did unpairing and pairing again as they suggested, but it didn't work.
Then I noticed that in the Health app, the Activity section didn't work at all, there is a "reset data" button, but it does nothing. So I chose to erase and restore my iPhone, then reset and paired the Watch as a new device. Everything finally starts work, but I've also lost all my data.
I also have this problem. I have tried all the suggested solution, but non of them worked. It doesn't take a while to sync, sync AT ALL!
I have restarted my iphone and apple watch, set the progress update to none and deleted all other activity apps on my iphone but the problem still remains! Any new solution?
Even though the original question's been long answered, I'll add my bit in case others find this discussion in the future. My solution was discovering I had BlueTooth turned off on my phone. Once I turned that back on, all good again.
So, I just got the Apple Watch 2 and it does the same thing, will not sync for days. I rebooted the phone and that seemed to work. However, I got a warning on my watch that it was in Airplane mode, which was weird because I checked the phone and it was not.
This has happened to me also in the last few days. I know that my data is still saved somewhere on my watch (and potentially phone) as I am getting achievements for hitting goals, however nothing bar these achievements and saves workouts (previous to Jan 5 2017) are syncing. It is very frustration and disappointing!
Same problem. Many of the solutions previously proposed have been working, but this seems to be one-shot. I read somewhere that the iPhone and the Watch need to be left charging next to one another for 8 hours a day - a target difficult for me to achieve because I only sleep 5 to 6 hours a day.
Eventually the data on the Apple Watch are not lost, as they end up charging on the iPhone, but that is VERY slow.
I wish Apple coulkd come up with a solution to fix this.
I think this might be a good answer. I use "Human" app to sync as mentioned earlier and even so all day Sunday I couldn't get a sync. Finally I noticed my phone had Airplane mode on for some unknown reason. When I turned it off, everything synced.
Mine syncs, but it takes a WHILE. I haven't figure out what triggers the dump, but I have noticed it definitely takes some time after I finish a workout before the activity app on my phone updates.
II'm still having this issue. I restarted my watch and iPhone today to get it to sync. I hope I don't have to keep on doing this and that apple will fix this problem soon.
YYep mine synced the first three days then nothing since despite restarting. Unbelievable Apple missed this.
TThere is a setting on the iPhone watch app. Scroll down to activity / progress update. I switched mine to none and it synced straight away.
Same here. I used to reboot the phone and it would sync but not anymore.
