Watch not syncing with iPhone activity app

My watch does not always sync my activity to the activity app on iPhone. I have to reboot my phone to get my activity to sync. Anyone else finding this issue?

I seemed to have solved the problem by removing the battery save mode. Once I did everything synced. I noticed that the app refresh wasn't on because on battery save mode it won't do the push sync. Hope this actually solved my problem and it's not a temporary fix

Update to my last message.

Yesterday it came to the point that my Watch (Apple Watch 2) and my iPhone (IPhone 6) did not synchronise at all during the whole day. With much reluctance, I decided to un-pair the Watch and re-pair ir with the iPhone.

In order not to lose any data, I decided to let them a chance to synchronise during the night and do it when I'd wake up. Luckily, they synchronised during the night so I didn't lose any health data. I re-paired the Watch chosing the "safeguard of a former watch" option (as opposed to "pair as a new watch"). The operation enabled to solve the issue - most likely until it reappears. 😕

IM having the same issue. Rebooting phone worked once, but just noticed that all of yesterday's updates didn't get to activity app on iPhone, although the badges I earned for the activity dId! So I know the watch synced since I now have badges that reflect correctly, but don't match the activity level stored on phone. Weird.

My activity app isn't syncing either. It's strange how things USED to work, but no longer do. I've had the watch for 12 days, and apparently have only stood during the first 3 days. Walks outside used to register as workouts, and now I get 0 minutes on the exercise wheel (even when starting the activity using the workout app). It's pretty frustrating since I only got the watch for the fitness aspect. Fitbit is looking pretty good right about now.

You must use the apple watch app on your iPhone to get to progress updates. It can be found as the silver watch on a black square icon on your iPhone. If you can find simply pull the screen on you iPhone down and search for it. Once you find it and open itake sure your in the My Watch tab. You will know you are if you look at the bottom of the screen and my watch it highlighted in Orange. Scroll down to fifth section and select activity. Then scroll down to progress updates and select it. Clice on none. Your watch and phone will automatically sync. Then I go back and change my progress updates to every four hours because I like the support throughout the day. So actually if I do a workout and want to see it in activity right away I change progress updates to none and then change it back to every four hours all the other times of day. Hope this helps and make sense.

Maybe you found it already, but the progress setting they are talking about is "Statusmeldungen" in german ;-)

I have the same problem. Usually it updated a few minutes up to an hour later. But yesterday it didn't update after my workout and also didn't update anything from today.

Funny thing is that mine was set to "none" already. So I set it to some other value (4h) and it updated right away. So it seems changing anything here is a trigger to update. Seems indeed to be a bug (and as others reported, it had worked fine in the beginning. Not sure if it came over time or is a bug introduced with 1.01)

I also get the syncing problem and the Airplane Mode solution seems like a good temporary fix. There seems to be a bug in the Activity app, either on the Watch or the Phone, which affects the bluetooth connection and thus the syncing. I also find that the syncing becomes inactive when I recharge my devices. It means I have to reboot everytime I charge my Watch or my Phone. Not good. I hope Apple can send out a software fix soon.

I have the same problem. I had the activity set on 4 hrs and I changed it to "none". I tried rebooting both the iphone and the watch. I tried turning on "Airplane" mode on the watch. All of these did not work.

I then tried turning on "Airplane" mode on the iPhone and got an automatic sync when I turned it off.

I hope this helps and I hope that Apple fixes the bug soon.

Cheers,
