monitor resolution incorrect for Mac Mini. But, OK for Ubuntu PC thru GCS1732 switch

Hello,

I've got a GCS1732 KVM switch hooked up to two computers, using DVI for the video flavor. The first is an Ubuntu linux PC, running version 14.04LTS, and the second is an Oct. 2012 Mac Mini running OSX Yosemite version 10.10.3.

I am using a Samsung Syncmaster 2232GW monitor, which has a recommended/maximum resolution of 1680 x 1050 @60Hz.

When I run my monitor hooked up directly to either of my computers, the resolution displays correctly. However, once I put the KVM switch inline, the Mac Mini will only give me a couple of options; none of which are correct.

There is a display labeled "KVM Monitor", and that allows either "Default for Monitor" or "Scaling" which gives you 1280x720 and 1024x768. Those figures are the same whether you use 60Hz, 70Hz or 75Hz.

There is also a profile called "SyncMaster." It is using the following .icc profile:

5E460443-B376-1B0D-5FDC-8EB097E97E98412.icc

FWIW: The Ubuntu computer displays the resolution correctly through the KVM switch.

What do I need to do to get the Mac Mini using the proper resolution for this monitor through the KVM switch as it did when I was using the monitor directly?????

I don't see any way to select the above-mentioned Syncmaster profile.

Thanks for reading!!

Robert
