iPod Touch 5th Gen SUbmerged (in water)

I forgot my Touch was in my back pocket and had to wade waist-deep into the water, and I was in there for a hot minute. As soon as I got out and realized the device was still in my pocket I pulled it out and set it out in the partial sun (I was watching kids outside so I couldn't immediately put it in rice). It sat outside drying for 15-30 minutes and then I brought it inside and put it in rice. It's been sitting in a container of rice for at least 24 hours now, but I can still see condensation in the flash lens. I'm assuming that the thing is done for, but I'll ask anyways if there is any hope for it? Any suggestions for what to do?

Also, this was not the first time that day that it had contact with water...but the first time it had only gotten damp and dried quickly.

iPod touch, iOS 8.3
