Yosemite killed my iPhoto. I need help

This is the message I get: In order to open “iPhoto”, you need to update to the latest version. The version of iPhoto installed on this Mac is not compatible with OS X Yosemite. Download the latest version for free from the Mac App Store.

When I click on updates, the message I get is that this upgrade is not available in the U.S

Any ideas, help appreciated.
