iTunes doesn't see calendar, contacts, can't sync

iTunes doesn't see my calendars. It also doesn't see my contacts:

This is new behavior, as syncing has been reliable for years. Anyone have ideas on how to get iTunes to see my calendars and my contacts so it can sync again?

I'm running an Imac with all software updated as of today on both the iMac on the iPhone 6 running 8.3.

[I'm not actually sure if I've posted in the correct forum].

Seriously? Nobody? :-)

I've googled all sorts of keywords containing sync, iTunes, 'can't see', 'not appearing' and anything else that I can think of. I'm not seeing a solution.

The calendars and the contacts are fine on my iMac as they were until recently on the iPhone.

Argh!

Turns out that if you run off Contacts and Calendars in iOS/Settings/Contacts(Calendars) then iTunes can't see either. Not exactly intuitive, but that was my issue,
