Is it worth buying the iPad Air 2?

I know that Apple has their expiration dates for every single one of their products, but the iPad Air 2 is fairly new. So, my question is that if it is worth spending all that money right now to buy the iPad air 2, or wait a little bit to see what Apple has up their sleeve for the iPad Air 3? I currently have a iPad mini 1st generation and I have a huge feeling that it will not be able to support IOS 9, because it can hardly support IOS 8.1.3, 😢, so I need to know if it would be worth to get the iPad Air 2 or wait for Apple's WWDC in June to see what they might reveal?
