Upgrade from Leopard to Mavericks?
Hey guys!
So, I'm still using my nice old Mac (MacBook4,1; Specs: Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.1 GHz, 1GB memory; anything else you want to know, ask!). I know, quite ****** specs, but it actually still works quite nicely, despite sometimes slowing down unnecessarily.
Now, the problem is that more and more applications are not supported any more. Since today, I also can't use Skype anymore, which is quite a big deal for me, as I need it pretty regularly.
So: Is there any way to upgrade to OS X Mavericks? When I try to do it directly, I'm told that I have to upgrade to some intermediate version first, which isn't available any more. Any help there?
Also: If this was possible, would there be any point doing it? Or would it simply slow down everything so much that I can throw my Mac straight into the garbage bin?
Thanks guys! Felix
