I have tried multiple times over two days to order. Assembly completes, but getting hung on first photo upload. I have even tried changing the group of photos and the same happens.

Which app? iPhoto or Photos? I ask as people are posting queries about both apps here. If iPhoto, what version of it and the OS?
Thank you Terence. It is in fact iPhoto and the version I'm on is 9.6.1 on O/S 10.10.2
I just had this problem making a book, and discovered that I had to update my credit card information. I even went to the trouble to download some music before trying again. As it turned out, it worked! Not sure if its the solution, but something to check.
Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and try ordering from there.

Not able to complete ordering prints. App gets hung it seems once the upload starts.
