Why will my iPad not let me download an iPhone app?

I'm trying to download an iPhone app on my iPad and it's not letting me. It's an app I've already downloaded and deleted and now I'm trying to download it again. It says it's saved in iCloud but it's not letting me do anything. Is it because I did the new update or can I fix it somehow? Thanks.

Interestingly, although the app's description in the iTunes Store states The Hunt is compatible with iPad, the current version (3.0.0, posted April 20, 2015):

Does not appear in "iPad Apps" when doing an iTunes Store search. It only appears in "iPhone Apps"
Does not indicate the usual "+" sign indicating it can be used on either an iPhone or iPad here (by the oval to the left of the "Get"):
