how to input rock climbing, cardio, kickboxing in watch

Several times a week i take cardio classes, kick boxing, and once a week go indoor rock climbing.

The fitness app on the watch is extremely limited in options for workout input. How do i input these exercises so they are tracked correctly? Also when rock climbing, your really burning calories (800-1500 for a hr and a half workout) will the watch track this at all / any other fun data like knowing I'm going up in height? I haven't been wearing it for climbing because i assumed it wouldn't be of any use and so why put it in any physical danger for no reason.

There are no options for rock climbing as you are already aware.

What would you have me do, make something up so that you went away happy or tell you the way it is.

There are a lot of other activities that might be listed under the workout app that aren't too, we the users are aware of this, all we can suggest to other users is that they use feedback to let Apple know about this.

Justin,

Your cardio and kickboxing are easier to use with the Apple Watch than rock climbing. While there isn't an entry for Kickboxing, or even specifically cardio, you would use Other... and swipe to the left on the next screen and enter the (approximate) length of time of your workout. It tracks heart rate and movement so it should fairly accurately reflect most cardio type workouts. As the watch doesn't measure weight or force used, it's not really able to recognize that you did 50 pull ups, or climbed a 50' intermediate rock wall. Again, it does track your heart rate, so it should recognize that you are working out in some capacity, once your rate is high enough.

So back to cardio workouts... Myself, when I am doing a recorded cardio workout I simply ask Siri to start a workout for me. "Hey Siri, Start a 30 minute workout" and press start (and then press play on the laptop) and begin my warmups.
