iphoto 9.5.1 and Yosemite

I did not upgrade iPhoto to 9.6.1 before upgrade to Yosemite.... big mistake.... now I lost import of my library iPhoto into Photos...

Does anyone know how to either get the upgrade to 9.6.1 via Launchpad, or help recover the iPhoto library into Photos?

I tried a search of the hard drive for *.jpg import but Finder does not find all of them (only the published ones); I have a lot of pictures which i can't find....
