I know this is a common problem and I've tried to look at what others did but was unable to fix. I receive the message, "we had difficulties downloading episodes from your feed," when I try to submit my podcast to itunes.

I think all I need to do now is change the size of the image to 1400x1400. But I though you also needed 900x900 as well.
I would have never found the direct link without your help.
My image is on Google plus and downloads at 1400x1400 but I can only find a url in the 500x500 range. I may have to upload it on another image hosting sight if I cannot find the url.
The image referenced in the 'itunes:image' tag has a googleuser.com URL beginning with https: it's only 200 x 200 and is like a grey traffic 'no entry' sign.
Gotcha, I went ahead and used a flickr link now. I think it is fixed hopefully.
Yes, that image is OK but I should change the https to http - it will still work
