Why is the new Photos app so slow on my Mac?

FAF result: No items found

Rerun Etrecheck and check to see if it still finds those files. If so use the file path to go to the appropriate folder and check yourself.

Sorry for the trouble but, could you point out where exactly did you see that avast file in my recent Etrecheck report? Can't find it

Insufficient RAM for starters. 4 GB of RAM is enough to run High Sierra alone. If you want to run anything in addition to High Sierra more RAM is required.

You would think that Apple's tech wizards would know, but then I really doubt that they use so little memory regularly.
