Question

Welcome to your new iPod screen.

Every time I plug my iPod Touch 5th Gen running iOS 8.3 in I get a "Welcome to your new iPod" and the only two options I have is to set it up as a new iPod or restore from a backup. I have been using the iPod already, the last time I had to change anything was when the messaging app kept crashing and the only way I was able to fix it was doing a factory restore (backup and restore didn't fix it). How can I get passed this screen? It's certainly not a "New iPod"

I see now. I chose the "set up as new iPod" option and it works fine. It was a little misleading because it had the option to restore from a backup on the bottom making me think that it was going to wipe the iPod if I chose "Set up as new iPod"

iTunes thinks I have 323 photos and my iPod says it has 252..... I tried syncing already.
