batch copy files stops entire process if it reaches a single file it cant copy

Is there a solution to batch copying folder that stop the entire process when a file is encountered that the mac does not allow copying

In the event a group of folders and/or files is being copied and a single file is encountered where the mac can't copy it aborts the remaining items to be copied.

Is there a resolve for this that does not involve dragging and dropping single folders and files piecemeal which nullifies the process of being able to batch in the first place.

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10), Dual Xeon 2.4, 64 GB RAM

Use the ditto command in the Terminal, which is accessible by choosing Utilities from the Finder's Go menu. For instructions on its usage, run:

man ditto

it lacks the drag and drop flexibility that the OS has. if I need to do multiple folders over multiple destinations it's clunky.

but thanks for a possible solution that I'll file away for another use if needed.

ditto may work

otherwise i'd try simple cp from terminal

cp -Rp ~/sourceFolder ~/destFolder
