Apple watch gives accessory not supported error after 1 min of charging

apple watch starts to charge then 1 minute in says this device is not supported for charging,

reset the watch same problem, wiped the watch from the iphone, same problem

using all apple hardware and swapped a new apple cable. still not charging!

Thinking they rushed the hardware on this, at least I have my IPOD NANO Watch that works.

Any other ideas or do I need to get them to swap the hardware?

Apple Watch, null

I have the problem even after resetting the watch so there are no applications . I am convinced it is the cable, but Apple are sending a new watch. I can intermittently make it work by removing the straps and placing the charger on it with the cable at a different angle. no idea why that would be, but it is a pain.

Today I received a new short cable that i bought online from best buy, and it appears to be charging with it. However I have had it charge before and then it stops and I get the message back again.User uploaded file

.. is there a warranty for this because I bought a new cable and it works fine but the one that came with the watch stopped working.

Hi

Yes - the power accessories (Apple USB Power Adapter and Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable) that were contained in the original packaging with your watch are also covered under the One Year Limited Warranty, subject to the warranty terms.

You can contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having your power accessories checked under warranty:

HI ya,

i've hot the same problem. Tried different cables and different setup and all updates and all other options! My watch has been send back at this moment! i bought the watch on the first day it came out in holland and worn it a total of 5 days when it told me that the original charger is not recognized as a apple watch accessorie! Have been waiting for my watch for about 2 weeks now after having it back for 1 day after sending it for the first time for this problem. I'm disappointed with this apple product. I've got everything from Apple why doesn't this just work like everything else I got from apple?!?

I had the watch since June. it began to display "charging with this accessory is not supported by apple watch" a week ago. Tried everything suggested anywhere online and finally called Apple. They tried everything and finally sent me a new power supply. I have about six of these power supplies already from other iphones, ipads etc., and had tried them all, but for some reason the new one worked and the watch charged once. however it would not sync with the the phone. called support and they made me do a complete reset and reinstall, which got the phone and the watch to talk to each other, but now i get the message again that "charging with this accessory is not supported by apple watch". this is with the new charger that arrived this morning. Getting very frustrated that a $1500 watch is such a pain to keep going. I certainly know that I cannot trust it for travelling, or anywhere that I cant afford to spend hours online with tech support. Its looking like a badly engineered product, and I am deeply disappointed. I could've had a pretty nice conventional watch for $1500 that would last for 50 years.
