iPhone won't connect to 3G

I've been using an iPhone 5 for 2 years. Until 10 days ago it was working fine but now the phone does not connect to 3G. I checked all the relevant settings, confirmed that there are no problems with my service provider and restarted the device. It still wont connect to 3G. When I inserted my SIM in another iPhone, it connected to 3G. So nothing wrong with my SIM either. What should I do?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.3

Try to reset your network settings.

Settings - General - Reset - Reset Network Settings

Try to reset your device. This won't delete your data stored on the phone.

  • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
  • Press and hold on the Home button
  • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

If this does not help, restore your device to factory settings. Note that this may erase the data from your computer.

Take a look this Apple Support article: Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.
