No option to change from Portrait to Landscape for printing in osx Yosemite.

The orientation selection is located in the application portion of the print window. This is a screenshot of the Preview print window:

It appears that Firefox does not have that feature. Safari does.

Would you post a screen shot so people can see what you are seeing? Make sure you cover any personal information using Preview. Post the screen shot in a Reply using the camera icon or you can drag the screen shot into a reply. Copy and paste doesn't work.

I'm having the same problem and I have an HP P1006 laserjet on MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013) running Yosemite 10.10.3. Also, HP's website says the drivers are now included in Apple Software Upgrade. The printer is still supported according to online docs reviewed this morning.

Yes, you are correct, Safari does have it. I started using Firefox because Safari was freezing too often with no means of shutting down except to hold down the power button 😮. Guess I'll return to Safari and hope that the freezing issue has been resolved in the latest update. Meanwhile, thanks for the information. 🙂

Try this and check if that may help:

1. Open a new tab in Firefox.

2. In the new tab, type

about:config

3. Click the button and agree that you understand the risks of proceeding.

4. Search for the print orientation preference by typing

print.print_orientation

print

5. Default is 0. Try changing that to 1 (or if it is 1, change it back to 0).

6. You may find a specific orientation for your printer -- if so, change that one.

I think the changes are take effect immediately, but if not, quit and restart.

No luck there either... Here's what I see:

What printer are you using? Did you try downloading drivers from manufacture's site?

No printer is selected in the photo you posted. What printer do you have? Have to verify what printer it is and verify and download the latest software from their website.

If you click on the preset setting do any other options come up?

Click the Firefox drop-down menu and select Layout, there you should see the orientation option for the P1006.

My bad, that applies for an inkjet printer 🙂

Within the Page Setup option of that same menu you should find the page orientation icon.

Thank you for your response, but it's easier to use Safari instead.

Select "reverse orientation" which will give you Landscape
