How do I restore a deleted partition from disk utility? I have partition into two half from a 1tb, and accidentally deleted the other 500 gb. Please help from all the Mac experts, I cant find anyways to get the partition back. T.T
My imac is late 2013, osx yosemite version 10.10.3.

Once a partition is deleted it cannot be restored, you can re-create it though. Please tell us why you are partitioning the drive, what goal are you attempting to achieve?
I split the partition because I was trying to install windows for gaming, but somehow I forgot why it didn't let me, I panicked so I tried to merge the partitions back together by clicking the minus option, and then that partition is gone... I have tried to click the add option to add the partition back, it wouldn't let me.
I think I have no lost files or folders in that partition other than volume, any solutions as to how to re-create it, or using some methods to track it back?
Does recovery software solve my problem?

do you have a time machine backup? That will solve your issue, and it will re-partition your HDD as of the backup. Reboot and hold command + R and chose the time machine restore option.

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately I didn't do the time machine backup. If I reboot and hold command +R, is there any options for letting me to restore the partition?
So you'll be given the option to create a NEW partition, but YOU WILL LOSE YOUR DATA. maybe that's okay, just want to be clear. Follow this: OS X: How to erase and install - Apple Support
