iTunes freezing computer

Hi, I have had problems with my iTunes for about 4 months now. My computer freezes whenever I try to log onto iTunes. I was wondering if you could please help me fix it. I have tried deleting all files and re-downloading several times now.

Processor: AMD A8-6500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics

System Type: 64-bit operating system

OS: Windows 8

Don't know my iTunes version since I have not been able to open it.

My phone is an iPhone 5C with iOS 8.1 installed
