There is no such program.

Macs do not accumulate filth, and do not get better or faster when exposed to utilities that claim to speed them up (although when an aftermarket utility throws away parts of Mac OS X and you are forced to re-Install Mac OS X, your computer may speed up slightly).

Anything that could make your Mac faster that does not involve some thought and decision-making on your part is already done automatically by Mac OS X.

Describe what you are doing in as much detail as possible, and how your Mac's performance is falling short of your expectations. This is the most important part of the process. Then:

a) Note when your Mac is slow (hour, minute, second). Open Console Utility and post ONE screenful of messages from that exact time.

b) download and run the Etrecheck utility, written by a trusted forum expert. Post its report

If your Mac has indeed become slower, you may try following these steps:

- Shut down your Mac

- Wait until your computer turns off and after that press the Power button

- Right after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key

- Release the Shift key when you see a grey Apple sign and the progress bar below this sign

- Once you see Desktop, start a Disk Utility scan to detect and repair file system errors (don't forget to choose your main hard drive)

- Click on Verify Disc and then, if asked to fix problems, on Repair Disk

- After this, click on Verify Disk Permissions and then on Repair Disk Permissions

- After the process is finished, shut down your Mac and turn it back on after about 30 seconds

Apart from that, take a look at this Apple article and follow the instructions on Resetting NVRAM shown there:How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.

If you don't regularly shut down your computer - do so at least once a week - that clears stuff out of memory that reset and sleep don't.

If you keep Safari open - check your top sites - they refresh and get added automatically so editing out will cut down on lag do to refreshes.

And - YOUR SYSTEM IS NOT SLOW - ITS BUSY MULTI-TASKING -- the more things you want to run at the same time - the less of a time slice one activity gets.
