Boot Camp

Hi I have a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2.53GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo, with Memory 4 GB, OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.3, have a boot camp partition with Window 7.

I decide to increase the window partition, I know that I have to delete the old partition and create a new one with the new size, to restore windows with only boot camp image and a repair disk from window, how about formatting the new partition , is it safe to use Disk utility to slide MAC partition to a new size, then use third party app to increase boot camp size,please help what is the best and secure method to apply, without side effect or losing data, on both Mac and Windows.

You have a corrupted GPT, which needs to be fixed first. Please download http://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ .

I used the Windows installation disk first then switch to the repair disk and the system image.

Since you already have a backup of Windows, I suggest we correct the MBR and see if Windows will boot. Is Windows booting correctly now?

Rebuild MBR to match the new GPT information thus resetting the Hybrid MBR. Use defaults for other questions (like partition codes). The only values that need modifications are the Boot flags and step 10. Accept all other defaults that Gdisk offers. Please see thesample Q&A as an example. These steps can be repeated if you make a mistake before you get to Step 12, otherwise start from Step 1 for these steps. Step 6 has numbers which are typed with a space between the numbers.

P (Print list of parts)
R (Recover)
O (print current Hybrid MBR)
H (chooses Hybrid)
Partitions numbers to be hybridized: 2 3 4
Y (Good for GRUB question)
N (part 2 boot flag)
N (part 3 boot flag)
Y (part 4 boot flag make NTFS bootable partition)
O (print current Hybrid MBR)
W (Write the new MBR)
Y (Yes! write the new MBR)

like I said I am not an expert, I simply can't understand the computer jargon, I never tried or attempt to use it with Windows let alone Mac, so I am going to start all over again from the begining, by deleting the bootcamp partition, create a new one and install Windows as usual using Windows installation disk, that should give us a clear idea, then we will work on how to recover the system image.
