I am currently using OSX10.6.8 on my 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Mac Pro and would like to know if Drive Genius is any good for it please?
I have the chance to obtain Drive Genius V3 as was wondering if it is any good for my Mac.

Can I ask what CCC is?
CCC is Carbon Copy Cloner. You use it to make backups and to clone the the whole drive.

But does it defrag etc?
CC does not do defrag but defrag is not necessary on a Mac
The destination and copy operation consolidates free space, defragging went out ages ago.
CCC can do checksum and insure file integrity.
If you are not familiar with CCC by now and has been in use since 10.2 days, do so.
