Logic auto punch

I have Logic Pro X and I can't use auto punch. I do what logic tells me to do by pushing on the control bar ,so it opens up to add auto punch and nothing happens, can you help, Thanks minngles

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Did you do the following:


  1. You control+click on the background of the Control Bar to open the Control Bar Configuration Window.
  2. There, you enable the Autopunch checkbox
  3. Close the window and the Autopunch Button is visible on the Control Bar
  4. Click on the Autopunch Button to toggle (on/off) Autopunch
  5. When Autopunch is on (button is red), Logic will display the red Autopunch Strip where you set the in and out position for the Autopunch (by dragging the left and right border)
