Why does my PMT formula say syntax error??!
Im having some trouble with this PMT formula on numbers, it keeps saying syntax error and I've tried everything!

If you post the formula the people of this forum could help debug it, but it would be better in general to give a bit more detail and a screenshot of your table so that we can see exactly what you have.
The most difficult part is the periodic rate. Is the length of the loan term usually in months so for a five year loan it is 12*5=60. You take your interest rate say 6% and divide it by 60. So .06/60.
The num-periods is 60.
My crystal ball is in the shop so, like Charles, I'll need to see the formula in question. If you click on the yellow triangle in the cell showing the error the text can be helpful.

You can access the Template Chooser via File > New.
Unless you are a Luddite like me, with Numbers > Preferences > For New Documents > Use template
Then you must hold down the good old option key to see 'Menu > File > New' change to 'New From Template Chooser...'
(One of Numbers' best kept secrets 😉).
