Call History showing up on another iPhone

Hi,

Hopefully you can help.

I use my phone for business and we have noticed in the last few days that all of the calls I make and receive are appearing in my wife's iPhone recent call history?

I have hunted high and low in settings on both phones but with no joy.

It is only affecting calls i make, not the other way round? so i am not seeing calls my wife makes on her phone in my recent call history?

[Re-Titled by Moderator]

It is also not affecting text messages...

We are both using the same iCloud account but the inconsistencies above suggest its something more involved (or very simple!)

The slightly odd thing is that it only seems to do it when my phone is at home, i went out this afternoon and the calls made/received have not appeared on her history. so maybe its a wifi thing?...but...

I also phoned vodafone when i got home to see if they could help (they couldn't!) and that short dial number is also not appearing on her history?

Yes me is two separate people with different names, numbers and emails. Why would I create a separate accounts when we have had iPhones for 5 years with no problems before? This thread is on page 126 on my phone, that has been mentioned ad nauseum. I want the phones to work like they have the last 5 years.

If you use the same Apple ID for iTunes & App Store you both would be using the same Apple iCloud Music Library, since both devices/computers would be signed into that one ID.

It is the iCloud and other sign ins that should not be the same ID.

Photos is one of the things that does not allow multiple people to use a single iCloud Photos Library. You might want to let Apple Know that you'd like to see that sort of feature added: Apple - Feedback

This will solve the problem go to settings--Mail,contacts,calendars-- scroll down to the contacts section and click on the my info tab and change that to the correct iPhone contact email. It has to be different on each phone. . I have a personal phone and business phone and my business phone was listed as my personal contact name under my info that is why all the calls would show in recent calls. This will solve the problem.

If it were that easy, this post wouldn't be 79 pages long.

Did you try this.. It worked for me. Apparently if each iPhone in setting--> contacts-->My Info has the same contact in MY INFO, call history will be shared between iPhones. You may need to make a new contact with your particular email address, but once that is done Phone History will not be shared. I know for sure this works. I had this problem as

well. I have two iPhones one for personal and one for business. Once I changed the one for Business to my business

My Info contact (which was my email address for the company I work for) the phones stopped sharing phone history.

This absolutely and positively works.. Someone in this long thread mentioned this as a solution. I am beholden to her

I take no credit for finding this solution. But it does work. If people are sharing their email address then thy will have

to get a different email address add it to their contacts, then change their My Info to that email address.

This absolutely and positively works and the Music Sharing etc will continue to work as well.

After I bought the new iPhone 7 which I use for personal and restored it from a previous backup and then restored my iPhone 6s. to a previous backup, this problem reoccurred for me. I changed the My info in the 6s to my business My Info email contact and the 7 to my personal email contact in My Info the problem ceased.

I am still able to share between both iPhones my pictures etc because I share the same apple id for iCloud.

This absolutely and positively works and I am surprised this issue continues when the solution is so simple.

sorry but I have 4 Phones (family with small kids) an Ipad and a business phone. (all Apple products) Non of them have the same "my Info" and I am still seeing missed calls and such shared across my devices. As always I like the "so called" ecosystems that I can use in my family but something happened in the last 8 9 months that has caused this problem. And no I do not wish to enable family sharing or setup accounts for my children to have a phone. Apple please if you are reading this FIX it .

Since you seem to have missed the actual solution in the 80 pages this thread has run so far, I'll say it again.

Stop sharing an iCloud account among multiple people. They are NOT meant to be shared.

The fact that you don't want to use the system correctly does not alter the reality of how it was intended to work.

If your children are under 13 years of age and you do not set up accounts for them using family sharing, you are committing a crime.

I have 3 Apple devices. All share the same apple iCloud id. I do not have this problem. However I am the sole user

on each device an iPad, iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s. For many, at least for me, is that all my iCloud back ups are using

the shared data on iCloud and I do not have to pay for more storage for each device. I pay $1 per month for 50 gig of storage. And I barely use 9 gig for all three devices, but it seemd ridiculous to have a separate iCloud id for each device. I shut off imessage forwarding. Again all the My Info contact info is different on the iPhones. I use the iPad as a wifi only device. I do have Family Sharing turned on. I do not have the problem others are having with sharing call history since I changed the My Info contact to different email contacts, which I believe is the culprit.

Also I have tested my theory. I have changed My Info to the same email contact and the call history started to

show up on both devices, I changed the My Info with different email contacts and call history stopped showing up

on both devices. I have also noted that this occurs when both devices are on the same WiFi connection. When I shut off

WiFi on one of the devices the call history stopped sharing on the other device., but this is a impracticable solution.
