Target Display Mode (TDM) on 27" Retina 5k iMac?

It's a well-established fact that Target Display Mode (TDM) is not supported on the first Retina 5K iMac. Has anything about that changed with the 27" model that was announced week of May 18th, 2015? Looks like the video card is AMD Radeon instead of nVidia, but not clear if that makes a difference.

Anyone know? I'm thinking of finally upgrading my 2009 iMac, but TDM is something I'd like to have so I can work from home and use my iMac as a display for my non-Mac work notebook.

I have a new 27" iMac (bought on Friday) and have tried to use TDM with my new MacBook Pro. Most of the techs at Apple were unsure whether it would work, but unfortunately it does not work.
